MERE LITERARY FESTIVAL SHORT STORY COMPETITION 2004

There were a total of 366 adult entries in the Open Short Story competition and thanks go to all who entered for their support of our charity The Mere & District Linkscheme.
Each story, identified only by its title and competition number, was read at least twice and 25 stories were short-listed to be judged by best selling novelist Katie Fforde.
All short-listed stories receive a Certificate of Distinction.
In her adjudication Katie Fforde remarked on the high standard of the short-list and advised those not in the winning frame to enter their stories in other competitions.
