17th Mere Literary Festival (2013)

Our founder and organiser, Adrienne Howell, said that she was very pleased with how this year’s festival had gone although she would like to see more local children participating in the competitions and junior events as they had done in the past.

There had been many good comments both from audiences and speakers. Damien Lewis, the award-winning author, described Mere as a "wonderful festival" and was not the only speaker to express a wish to make a return visit. At the award Ceremony the chairman of Mere & District Link Scheme, Peter Martin, thanked the festival helpers and all who had supported the festival.
